Is India moving in right direction?

I was traveling in a local train to go to my office. Two guys were sitting opposite to my seat. They were wearing a tag of an MNC (both appeared to be software engineers). I overheard this conversation between them. Lets call them A and B.

A: A new guy joined my team
B: Good. What is his name?
A: “C”.

PS (I don’t remember the name but it was a Muslim name)

B: My sympathy is with you.
A: What?
B: Your new teammate is Muslim.
A: So what?
B: So what! You don’t have any issues?
A: Why should I?
B: You know we are having so many issues with them like Godhara, Kashmir and so on.
A: Like Babri Masjid was not demolished by Hindus. How can you talk about stuff like this dude? How can you forget there were Muslims in our college also? We studied together, spent few years of our lives together. We even had dinner on the same table.

This little conversation between two guys made me think Is India moving in right direction? What is the point in educating people when they still talk about religious issues? The thing that hurts most is that the educated people like B are talking abouth this kind of non-sense stuff. Future of our country depends on youth. Sadly youth have been crippled by their conservative and narrow thinking. Despite being an engineer B talks like he is an 80 year old. Engineers are considered to be the future of India. What will happen to our country if its “future” has such narrow mind? “All that glitters is not gold.” Guys like B should be ashamed of themselves.

Good thing is that there are guys like A also who are ready to forget the past and move on to work to make future better. We should be proud of guys like A. We can fill the void between Hindus and Muslims if and only if we all think like guy A. Hats off to Mr. A.

Main Khush nahin hun

Main ek software engineer

Karta hun ek naami company mein kaam,
Office bhi acha, ghar mein bhi hain pure aaram
Paise bhi kama raha hun hazaron mein
Jhande gaad raha hun ijjat ke galiyaron mein
Par main Khush nahin hun.

Kehne ko to mere dost hain bahut
Par koi apna sa nahin lagta
College mein jaise sapne dekhe the
Yeh un sapno sa nahin lagta
Kehte hain paise se sab milta hai
Paise to hain mere pass
Par main Khush nahin hun.

Ek girlfriend bhi hai meri
Par najane kyun parai si lagti hai
Hansti-khilkhilati hai who
Par jane kyun murjhai si lagti hai
Kehte hain pyar hi sab kuch hai
Pyar to karti hai mujh se
Par main Khush nahin hun

Main ek software engineer
